Springfield, Illinois – This morning, the City of Springfield Mayor, Jim Langfelder’s mother passed away.
Mary Agnes “Midge” Langfelder, age 88, passed away early Monday morning at her home.
Midge Langfelder, who is the wife of late Mayor Ossie Langfelder is also the mother of 13 Children, including Springfield Mayor Jim Langfelder and Sangamon County Recorder Josh Langfelder.
According to news reports, Midge Langfelder has been battling Alzheimer’s disease since 2016.
Late Mayor Ossie Langfelder, who died on October 21, 2015, at the age of 89, served as Springfield mayor from 1987 to 1995.
Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
