Springfield, Illinois – After the passing of Sangamon County Coroner, Cinda Edwards, who was a passenger in a fatal plane crash in Rochester, Illinois, Sangamon County now has a temporary Coroner.
Sangamon County Sheriff, Jack Campbell, was sworn in this morning around 10:00 a.m., by Sangamon County Judge, Ryan Cadagin.
Sheriff Campbell will perform the duties of Coroner until the Sangamon County Board appoints a new Coroner. The Sangamon County Board has 60 days to appoint a replacement.
