Springfield, Illinois – Sangamon County Sheriff, Jack Campbell, announces, in response to COVID-19 concerns, that visitations to the Sangamon County Jail will not change. However, other services will temporarily be suspended.
Sheriff Campbell confirmed that visitations will continue, because most visitations are conducted through video. Also, minor children visitations will continue as normal through glass partitions.
However, until further notice, the following will be suspended: Volunteer programs, such as ministry, AA, and PORA (Positive Options, Referrals and Alternatives – A program to Help people with a history of prostitution change their lives by encouraging spiritual and emotional growth, good health and education).
