Springfield, Illinois – Around 8:16 p.m., Springfield Police responded to the 1700 block of Albert St., for a report of shots fired.
A witness in the area said that the gunshots sounded like they came from N. Wolfe and Ramsey Ave.
Another witness also told police that the suspect might have been driving a Black Ford Explorer.
Springfield Police found numerous shell casings in the roadway of N. Wolfe Ave and Ramsey Ave.
At this time, no reports of injuries and no immediate arrest of a suspect(s).
