Springfield, Illinois – Early this morning, around 2:25 a.m., the Springfield Fire Department responded to Springfield Club Dirty South (1231 E. Cook St.) for a structure fire.
According to the caller, flames were coming from the ceiling of the building.
Once on scene, the Springfield Fire Department confirmed that flames and smoke were showing on the southwest side (Sports/Bar area) of the building.
Springfield Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and at this time it is unknown how much damage the building has sustained.
