Springfield, Illinois – On Saturday, November 23, 2019, around 8:50 a.m., Sangamon County Sheriff Deputies responded to an armed robbery at the Sunroom Tanning Salon, located at 500 N. Dirksen Parkway.
Bryan S. Crawford, age 40, went inside the business and told employees to open the cash drawer. When the employees didn’t immediately comply, Bryan repeated his demand and began unzipping his jacket, which they interpreted as him having a weapon. The employees then complied and Bryan took the cash they had and left the business on foot.

A customer, who witnessed the robbery, followed Bryan in their car. They watched where he ran and reported it to Deputies. Bryan was spotted by Deputies and arrested after a short foot pursuit.
Bryan was taken to the Sangamon County Jail and booked for Armed Robbery, a class X felony.
Sangamon County Sheriff, Jack Campbell, confirmed to us that the amount taken in the armed robbery was under $100.
