Police Source: Homicide victim was covered in leaves and he was present during a fight 24 hours ago (Video)

Springfield, Illinois – Today, January 11, 2020, the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a homicide investigation.




The victim, Carlos Blue, aka Dagwood, age 28, was found in the 200 block of South Wesley. Blue was described as being covered in leaves and left near the road. Deputies located Blue near the road and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to our law enforcement source, a fight also took place yesterday, January 10, 2020 at the Cook Express, also known as the Murder Stop, which is located at 1529 E. Cook St.

The video (LINK BELOW) was forwarded to us by the law enforcement source, and the source confirmed that the homicide victim, Blue, can be seen in the video wearing a gray sweater, with blue jeans and with shoes. Although, Blue was not fighting in the video, it’s something that is being looked at by Deputies, according to our source.




After being forwarded the video, we asked Sangamon County Sheriff, Jack Campbell, if it could be related to the homicide? The Sheriff said, “We are investigating all angles.

At this time, our Springfield Leaks law enforcement source is saying that the Sheriff’s Office is needing help on this investigation and is asking anyone who has information regarding this homicide to come forward.
