In an email to Gregory, SHG High School Principal, Kara Rapacz wrote, “As a school community we will continue to work with our students to foster an environment of kindness, support, and inclusivity. The following policy has been added to the student handbook and will be enforced in the school building as well as at all school sponsored activities.”

According to Rapacz, the new policy, which is titled as “Respect for Others” states, “No attire promoting/advertising for a political party and/or candidate is allowed. This includes clothing as well as buttons or other forms of advertisement.”

In response to SHG’s policy update, Gregory publicly stated via Facebook, “I think this was a positive move for the administration of SHG moving forward. Hopefully it will be applied across the board.”
