Springfield, Illinois – We can confirm that Bunn-O-Matic, located at 1400 Adlai Stevenson Dr., is on a soft lockdown due to threats made against the employees. Currently there is a Sheriff sitting at the business as extra protection.
According to an active employee, who didn’t want to go on record because they were not authorized to speak, the employee tells us that due to the soft-lockdown only verified employees are allowed in and out of the main entrance.
“An employee was fired and it hasn’t been totally confirmed but he allegedly made threats so they are taking precautions,” the employee said. “Someone said they heard the fired employee make some kind of threatening comments. Whether or not he actually did is in question.”
We also reached out to a Bunn-O-Matic company spokeswoman on her cell phone but she didn’t answer. After a Springfield Leaks reporter identified himself to her via text, she responded once, and stopped responding after we inquired about the soft lockdown.
A call and text was also placed to Bunn-O-Matic CEO, Arthur Bunn.
Sangamon County Sheriff also told us that they are now working off-duty Security at Bunn-O-Matic and that the security arrangement started this morning.
