Springfield, Illinois – A Sangamon County Grand Jury has returned two indictments against a Springfield man for several criminal sexual assault charges.
Zachary R. Gleeson, age 18, currently has an outstanding warrant for his arrest after being indicted on July 29, 2020. Zachary was indicted for Criminal Sexual Assault, a class 1 felony and Criminal Sexual Abuse, a class 4 felony. Zachary was also indicted, in a second and unrelated criminal case, for Criminal Sexual Abuse and Criminal trespass to a residence, both class 4 felonies.
We first covered the story regarding Zachary being investigated after he admitted to Springfield detectives that he masturbated while touching two woman who were sleeping. As a result of that investigation, Zachary has now been indicted. Also, in another case, that we’ve recently learned about, Sangamon County prosecutors are also alleging that on December 22, 2019, Zachary committed an act of sexual penetration. According to prosecutors, Zachary knowingly placed his fingers inside a woman’s vagina without her consent.
Currently, Zachary is wanted by police and has a $100,000 warrant. Once he is booked into the Sangamon County Jail, he will need to pay 10 percent of his bond ($10,000) in order to be released.
