Springfield, Illinois – Today, around 1:55 p.m., Springfield Police were called to E. Clear Lake Ave and N. Dirksen Pkwy for a drive-by shooting.
Initial reports indicate that the suspect was driving a 4-door black colored vehicle and shot at a Black Ford vehicle. The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male.
According to a witness who was in the area, they tell us that they heard approximately 7-8 shots.
The shooting victim was taken to a local Springfield Hospital and at this time, we do not know the condition of the victim. Initial reports indicated that the victim may have been shot in the foot.
