Springfield, Illinois – On January 24, 2020, the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Unit (TRU) executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of North Daniels Ave. This is the home residence of William T. Blair, age 40.
The SCSO Drug Interdiction and Response Team (DIRT) conducted multiple controlled buys of crack cocaine from William at that residence. Intelligence indicated that William was armed and had an extensive security set up at his home.
William, along with, Corvette Westerfield, age 27, of the 1600 block of East Edwards, were both booked into the Sangamon County Jail for numerous charges.
William is facing charges of Manufacturing and or delivery of a Controlled Substance, a class X felony, and Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class 1 felony. According to records, William has an extensive criminal history and has served time in The Illinois Department of Corrections for a felony narcotics case in 2015.
Corvette is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, a class 1 felony.
The SCSO DIRT also seized approximately 13 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately $4500 in cash, a 2012 Audi A7 and a 2017 Cadillac CT6.
